Banning Phase:
Players must select their players first before selecting the stage.
Game 1: Players do Rock Paper Scissors to decide where to go between the 5 starter stages; Winner bans one of the initial 5, loser then bans two, winner picks from the remaining.
Game 2-5: The winner of the most recent game bans two stages. The loser picks from the remaining, but can’t pick the stage they most recently won on during the set.
Miscellaneous Rules:
Characters that players decide to go will be determined before the stage.
If a player desires, a Double Blind Pick can be requested, where both players will tell a third party who they will play before selecting the characters.
All players of a set can agree to go to a specific competitive stage, ignoring the banning phase. This is the Gentleman’s Clause.
If a timeout occurs, the player with the most stocks wins. If both players have the same stock count, then the winner goes to the player with less percent accumulated on their current stock.
In the event of a tie game (i.e.: from both players losing their last stocks at the same time or if percents are tied at a timeout), players will play out a 1 Stock, 3 Min long game to determine who gets that set point.
